Kenvue posted net sales of $3.8bn for Q3 2026, up 3.2%, marking its fourth consecutive quarter of net and organic sales growth despite a near-flat performance in skin health and beauty.

For the first nine months of 2026, net sales climbed 3.6% to $11.7bn, against $11.34bn in the same period last year. Gross profit jumped 4% to $2.3bn, up from $2.2bn in 2025, the Johnson & Johnson spinoff reported.

"We are pleased to have delivered our fourth consecutive quarter of net and organic sales growth, with strong performance in self-care and essential health, along with margin expansion and strong cash generation," CEO Kirk Perry said.

What dragged on the beauty segment?

Skin health and beauty sales increased just 0.1% in the quarter. The figure reflects an organic sales decline of 0.5%, cushioned by a 0.6% foreign currency benefit.

Hair care carried the segment, delivering low double-digit organic sales growth. Rogaine led the charge and logged its fourth consecutive quarter of market share gains.

Sun care added a bright spot in North America. Last month Kenvue launched Neutrogena Cloud Tech featuring BEMT (bemotrizinol) — the brand's first sunscreen technology built on the new FDA-approved UV filter.

What did the CEO say about the transformation?

Perry credited the results to execution rather than market tailwinds. "Our results reflect continued momentum from disciplined execution, ongoing productivity initiatives, and investment in our brands and innovation," he said.

"We are strongly on track to deliver our business transformation that we began last year," Perry added, thanking staff for "disciplined execution, and delivering what was promised."

That transformation traces back to July 2025, when Kenvue kicked off a strategic review amid falling sales and job cuts. The initiative targets an optimised operating model, a transformed supply chain, reduced complexity and stronger core capabilities.

How does the Kimberly-Clark deal frame the quarter?

The Q3 update follows Kenvue's acquisition by Kimberly-Clark in a $48.7bn deal announced last year. The tie-up will place Kenvue's health and beauty brands — Neutrogena, Aveeno, OGX and Listerine — under the same umbrella as Kimberly-Clark's personal care portfolio.

Because the transaction remains pending, Kenvue declined to provide forward-looking guidance for the year in this quarterly update.

Perry signalled confidence in the closing timeline. "As we near the completion of our value-creating combination with Kimberly-Clark and bring together our two companies, the team is excited about the opportunities ahead," he said.

What comes next?

The company's momentum now rests on two tracks: sustaining the self-care and essential health growth engine while the skin health and beauty segment waits for a genuine growth driver beyond hair care and the BEMT-based Neutrogena launch. With guidance suspended until the Kimberly-Clark deal closes, the next hard numbers investors see may arrive under new ownership.
